Pierre Trappers Swept by Fremont

The Pierre Trappers ran into the best and hottest team in the league over the weekend on the road in Fremont, Nebraska and the Moo finished off the series sweep Sunday night with a 6-3 over the Trappers.

The Moo scored a run in each of the first three innings and worked around committing five errors and only one earned run to pick up the sweep and improve its Expedition League’s best record to 14-3 while the Trappers are now at 6-9 on the year. Bennett Osborn drove in two of the three runs for the Trappers, who have now dropped four in a row as Nick McCollum picked up the loss on the mound going five innings, allowing four runs, two earned, on six hits, two walks and striking out five.

The Trappers will have an off day on Monday before returning to Sioux Falls on Tuesday to face the Sunfish for a single game in Sioux Falls and then back to Pierre to finish the series on Wednesday and Thursday.
