Pierre Trappers Comeback to beat Sunfish on the Road

The Sioux Falls Sunfish took a 4-0 lead after two innings but the Pierre Trappers came back scoring the game winning run in the top of the ninth to beat the Sunfish 5-4 on Wednesday.

Joseph Bremanti began the comeback in the top of the fourth inning with a two-RBI double cutting the deficit in half, 4-2. Eric Mast tripled home a run in the top of the fifth and then tied the game scoring on a wild pitch and the Trappers and Sunfish would play even until the top of the ninth when the Sunfish would make another mistake and Bennett Osborn scored on a passed ball to give the Trappers the lead. Tyler Luben picked up the win on the mound finishing out the final two-thirds of the bottom of the eighth before Clay Odenbach notched his second save in as many games with a scoreless ninth inning.

The Trappers are now 6-5 on the season, the first time they’ve been above .500 and have now won four in a row. They look to sweep the two game set in Sioux Falls on Thursday with first pitch scheduled for 6:35. Pierre will travel to Freemont for a three game series beginning on Friday.
