Kleinsasser, Cronin Win Stanley County School Board Election

FORT PIERRE — Voters on the east side of the Missouri River weren’t the only ones headed to voting booths on Tuesday. The Stanley County School Board had two opening that are now filled. Only 267 voters cast ballots for a voter turnout of 11 and a half percent. Mitch Kleinsasser earned a spot on the Stanley County School Board with 173 votes. Retaining his seat on the Board is Shaun Cronin, netting 149 votes. Third was Kayla Magee with 86 votes and Kevin Carter got 55. Kleinsasser picked up 37-percent of the vote while Cronin got 32-percent of voter’s tallies. Magee had 18-percent and Carter got 11-percent. Terms on the Stanley County School Board are for three years.
