Pierre Trappers Back in Sioux Falls

Pierre Trappers Back in Sioux Falls

The Pierre Trappers are looking to continue to build on its recent success with a three game home sweep of the Sioux Falls Sunfish as they play the same Sioux Falls team Wednesday and Thursday on the road.

The Trappers are back to .500 after having lost three straight. A big reason, the pitching staff has been much better as of late as more players come into town and join the team filling out the expected roster allowing more recovery time in between outings.

The difficulty of the stretch the Trappers are in is playing a team six straight games going back and forth between Pierre and Sioux Falls three times. It gets harder to play a team for that many games as tensions begin to become higher and emotions can potentially get away from you. However, with the three wins in a row, the Trappers are in the much better spot compared to the Sunfish. Monterio May, manager of the Pierre Trappers, says, though, the job is never done as a coach…

May says specifically for Hamel, who threw well on Monday, shows what the deeper roster can now do…

And May takes his father’s advice on how to draw success heading back to Sioux Falls…

First pitch is scheduled for 6:35 in Sioux Falls. The Trappers will be on the road until next Wednesday, June 16.
