PIERRE — The Hughes County Commission is meeting tonight at the Hughes County Courthouse. The Commission will consider approval of the agenda and minutes from the May 17th meeting before discussing speed on Spring Creek Road. Commissioners will hear from Bruce Peterson and discuss the county transportation master plan and get an update on a wind project. The Commission will consider five Planning and Zoning items including the first reading of temporary ordinances regarding medical marijuana along with a construction update for an address on Cyrus Place. Commissioners will also consider the purchase of a mower for the Highway Department, personnel, first reading of an alcoholic beverage license ordinance and a proposal for boring near Range Road.
