FORT PIERRE — The Fort Pierre City Council is meeting tonight at the South Dakota Municipal League building in Fort Pierre. The Council will consider approval of the agenda and declare any conflicts of interest before getting reports from city officials. A public hearing will be held on a temporary ordinance regarding issuing permits for local medical marijuana dispensaries. New business will see the Council take action on the medical marijuana establishment ordinance along with considering part-time, summer staff and setting a public hearing for a temporary liquor license request filed by the Casey Tibbs Rodeo Center for an event on June 24th. Council members will consider bids and make awards for street surfacing and curb and gutter projects. Also on the agenda is a right-of-way closure request and approval of 2021-2022 malt beverage license requests. The Fort Pierre City Council meets tonight at 6:30 pm.
