A week and a half away from baseball and Pierre is ready to play again as they transition from High School baseball into the Legion season. Post 8 will host both Rapid City Post 22 and Renner.
Post 8 will have near the entire high school baseball roster with two additions of both Jack Van Camp and Cade Hinkle who are the two super seniors eligible to play again. Van Camp will be a pitcher only for Pierre while Hinkle returns to be the back stop for the fourth straight season. Hinkle has caught all but one inning dating back to 2019.
Brian White, Manager of Post 8, says it is a bit different than in 2020 because he hasn’t been around the guys as much compared to heading into last summer…
White says he wants to see pitching fill up the strike zone on Tuesday and moving forward…
And White says he’s excited to get the season underway against some great competition…
