Trappers Come from Behind for Win to Even Record in First Home Stand

The Pierre Trappers were down but not out Saturday night as they split the two game series with the Western Nebraska Pioneers winning 4-3 evening the early season record to 2-2.

The Trappers failed to get the job done on Friday night as late inning walks and mistakes doomed Pierre in the 14-5 loss. Head Coach of the Pierre Trappers Monterio May said he didn’t believe the Trappers played clean, finish strong or play to the team’s fullest potential. However, Saturday night the Trappers trailed 3-1 heading into the bottom of the eighth but scored three times to take the 4-3 lead and were able to hold on for the win. May was much more energized with the win…

May says they’ve talked about hitting with guys on base…

And May has a simple message for the Trapper fans…

The Trappers will be on the road for the first time this season as they take on the Spearfish Sasquatch in a two game set that begins Monday night at 7:35.
