South Dakota Coyotes Track and Field Set to Compete in West Region

Beginning on Wednesday and running through Saturday at College Station, Texas the men and women of South Dakota will be competing in the West Region for Track and Field.

The men and women will alternate days with the men competing Wednesday and Friday and the women on Thursday and Saturday. The Yotes have a program record 26 entries with 25 athletes competing in those entries. 18 of the 25 are making their debut.

At the NCAA preliminary round, the nation is split in half between the NCAA West and NCAA East regions. With a few exceptions – namely Wisconsin, Illinois and Louisiana – the two regions are split by the Mississippi river. The Coyotes will compete in the NCAA West region with schools from a variety of conferences across the Midwest, West coast and South.
