The Pierre Governor golf team began a busy week on Monday as they played to a fifth place finish in Watertown.
The Governors settled in after a rocky start to the day as Ellie Jo Simpson led the Governors shooting a 14 over par, 86 on the day. She finished in 11 overall individually on the day. Both Hallie Baldwin an Haley Nadeau finished with a 95 on the day with Maidlyn Brakke just one shot behind with a 96.In the team standings, Harrisburg was the winner shooting a 46 over par thanks to Reese Jansa who again won the day individually shooting four under par, 68 which was seven shots better than second place.

The Governors are now headed to Mitchell on Thursday for the ESD invite. Pierre has already seen the course once this year, two weeks ago. Tee time for the ESD is 10:00 AM.
