The Iowa Community College Athletic Conference announced its All-Region team on Tuesday and Pierre alum and Iowa Western pitcher, Peyton Zabel is named to the first team.
Zabel finished the season at 8-2 on the year with an ERA of 1.87 striking out 77 hitters in 62 and 2/3 innings. Zabel threw four complete games in the 12 he started in the 2021. Iowa Western finished the season at 50-10 but fell to Indian Hills two games to one in the Region XI championship.
Zabel is committed to play at Louisiana-Lafayette next season.
