Huron Tiger head volleyball coach Shelly Buddenhagen has resigned. Buddenhagen has coached Huron the past 12 years, and was also head coach for seven years in the 90’s. Buddenhagen says it just felt like the right time…

Buddenhagen lead Huron to the state runner-up in AA last November, and finished third three times, 2010, 2014 and 2019, and fourth once in 2013. She also led Huron to back to back state titles in her first tenure in 1998 and 99. Huron has reached the state tournament the past 12 years in a row, the longest current streak in AA. Buddenhagen coached a total of 19 years, with 353 career wins.
