Ahartz Signs to be Dakota Wesleyan Goalkeeper

In the last several years, Pierre Governor soccer hasn’t had to worry about who was going to be in net for the soccer team. It’s always been Cameron Ahartz. Ahartz has won numerous awards over his career for the Governors including multiple All-State selections. There was no real question of “if” but rather “where” he was going to sign to continue to play soccer in college. Dakota Wesleyan is the spot for Ahartz as he signed his letter of intent to be a Tiger back in late February.

Head Coach of the Pierre Governors, Matt DeBoer says he’s very happy for Ahartz…

DeBoer says it was a blessing to have him as the goalie for the first two years he’s been in Pierre as the coach…

DeBoer says when he arrived and wanted to transition on the style of the game, it was much easier because of Ahartz…

And DeBoer says Ahartz has helped set the team up for success down the road…

Ahartz and Leiferman have been two seniors on the soccer team of the many seniors at T.F. Riggs to sign letters of intent to continue an athletic career.
