FORT PIERRE — Stanley County Commissioners are holding their regular monthly meeting tonight. The Commission will consider approval of the agenda and minutes from meetings on April 6th and 20th before hearing the Treasurer’s and Auditor’s report and getting an update from the Director of Equalization. Commissioners will hear from Jared Groos with Grow South Dakota and get details on Legislative Audits from Russell Olsen. An executive session for personnel will be held before Commissioners hear from Fairgrounds Manager Scott Deal and Highway Superintendent Lee Smith. The Commission will consider approval of a formal statement of support for the Rapid City, Pierre and Eastern Railroad and two resolutions regarding the 30 by 30 land grab. Other agenda items include a raise in the States Attorney’s Office, a budget supplement for a FEMA mitigation grant, an automatic supplement for road and bridge maintenance and travel and states attorney health insurance. An abatement, office equipment and carpet for the Register of Deeds office and the Verendrye Museum and Log Cabin round out the agenda with another executive session for personnel. The Stanley County Commission meets tonight at 5 P.M.
