The Pierre Governors were one of four teams competing on Saturday in Aberdeen trying to avoid the rain and stay warm, but the Governors had no problems with their showing at Swisher Field.
Pierre had multiple winners on the afternoon in both Boys and Girls events. Spencer Skjonsberg won the high jump with a PR of 5’9 while Canyon Jones won the pole vault event with an 11’3. Cade Kaiser was second in the high jump as Tucker Putizier was second in the 200 meter run and Josh Strand was second in the 400 meter.
For the girls, Jessica Lutmer won the girls 800 meter run with a time of 2:31, Addison Cumbow won the 100 hurdles, the 4×800 relay team of Autumn Iverson, Jessica Lutmer, Jazzlyn Rombough and Brianna Sargent won the event and Aleise Christopherson won the long jump for Pierre. Christopherson was second in the triple jump, Lilly Sanchez was second in the 400 meter run and Ryann Barry was second in the high jump.
