PIERRE — The City of Pierre could get help funding a 12-million dollar outdoor municipal pool with community backing. The Wellmark Foundation has given Pierre a 100-thousand dollar MATCH grant. MATCH stands for Matching Assets to Community Health. The City of Burke is also getting a 100-thousand dollar MATCH grant to go for their Fitness on Main Splash Pad. The Burke Splash Pad is the first phase in a long-term Burke City Park project that has plans to add accessible trails, restrooms, pavilion, public art and updated green spaces.
