Pierre Baseball Hosts Four Game Weekend

Pierre Baseball Hosts Four Game Weekend

The Pierre Governor baseball team, after a sweep on Wednesday will remain at home over the weekend as they face both Brandon Valley and Sturgis on Saturday and Sunday.

The Govs continue to move in and out of spot hosting the Regional Round. This weekend, four wins could help elevate them in the standings before the last week of the regular season.

Brandon Valley will come into Saturday’s contest after playing a doubleheader against Mitchell on Friday. The Lynx are heading into the weekend at 8-5 while the Sturgis Scoopers are at 7-5 in Class A and played Gillette on Thursday with the results not affecting the Class A standings because the seed points are only affected by South Dakota Class A opponents.

The doubleheaders for both Saturday and Sunday are scheduled to begin at 1:00. You can listen to all four games on Today’s KCCR, todayskccr.com and on YouTube at KCCR Sports with Jon Winkler on the call.
