Terry Becker, coach of the Pierre Governor boys’ basketball team resigned effective immediately Friday morning. Pierre had most recently won a state title under Becker in 2013. Athletic Director Brian Moser says it’s a big loss for the community and school district…
The Governors increased its win total by six from 2019-2020 to the 2020-2021 year, and after graduating four seniors, Pierre will have all but one underclassmen heading into next season.
Moser did not lay out a deadline for the application process, but it is open now…
While Moser is saddened with Becker’s resignation, he is still excited for the future of Pierre basketball…
Becker will remain on as a teacher with the Pierre school district.
