Autumn Iverson and Lincoln Kienholz, both of the track and field team, have been selected as this week’s PACA Athletes of the Week.
Autumn Iverson (Track & Field): This past week at the O’Gorman meet Iverson ran a personal best 5:36 in the 1600, knocking off nearly 5 seconds from her previous best time. That time currently places her in the top 24 in AA this year and also puts her in the Top 10 in school history. Iverson is starting to see her potential as a distance runner and learns from every race on how to improve.
Lincoln Kienholz (Track & Field): As a sophomore, Kienholz won the O’Gorman high jump and long jump events this past Friday. His 6’6″ win at OG ties for the best high jump in the state this year and also moves him into a tie for 4th all-time in Pierre’s top 10. Kienholz also won the long jump with a jump of 20’ 9.5” and this jump moves him up to the 6th best long jump in class AA.
