Pierre Baseball Hosts Rapid City Central in Home Doubleheader

A 2-2 weekend in Sioux Falls for the Pierre Governors has slipped to the five seed and out of one of the four hosts spot for the Regional rounds. This week, the Govs have six games over three doubleheaders beginning with Wednesday’s matchup against Rapid City Central.

The Governors won both games against Central back on the second day of the season knocking the ball around the yard with a total of 38 hits and 44 runs in two games. Central has won just twice so far this season and is sitting in 14th place, leading only Douglas in the standings. Pierre will be looking to keep its pitching in spot where they can have everybody available for the four games over Saturday and Sunday.

First pitch is scheduled for 5:00 of the doubleheader against Rapid City Central. You can listen to the game on Today’s KCCR, todayskccr.com and watch on YouTube at KCCR Sports with Jon Winkler on the call.
