Pierre Tennis Goes 1-2 in Mitchell Quad

The Pierre tennis team began its busy week in Mitchell finishing 1-2 falling to Mitchell and Yankton but sweeping Vermillion.

The Governors fell 6-3 to the Kernels improving against one of the best teams in Class A after losing 8-1 in the first duals of the season. Matthew Hanson won his singles match after falling in the first matchup against Mitchell. Hanson and Blake Judson won their doubles match also after falling the first time.

Pierre picked up two singles wins with Blake Judson in Singles 2 and Luke Leingang in Singles 3 along with the team of Hanson and Judson and Spencer Kelly and Leingang winning doubles matches in the top two flights against Yankton. The Govs came up just one win short against the Bucks, falling 5-4.

Pierre had no problem with Vermillion winning all nine matches with Judson, Leingang and Kelly winning a straight 10-0 match in singles.
