Team South Dakota 16U Girls into Semifinals

Team South Dakota 16U Girls team went undefeated in pool play Thursday through Saturday and Sunday afternoon remained perfect defeating Anchorage Alaska 4-3 advancing to the semifinal game on Sunday night.

Team South Dakota went down 1-0 late in the first period but Oahe Capitals’ Olivia Swenson scored her second goal of the tournament to tie the game. Alyssa Lingen and Brooke Jarmen both scored for Team SD early in the third to take a 3-1 lead and Lilly Moon sealed the win with an empty netter in the final minute. South Dakota out shot Alaska 34-18.

South Dakota will face Philadelphia Little Flyers at 7:15 in the national semifinal.
