The Pierre Governor Golf team took to the links in Rapid City for its first event of the 2021 season after being canceled last Thursday in Harrisburg. Ellie Jo Simpson came away with the best score of the day shooting an 88, three better than teammate Haley Nadeau, finishing second with a 91.
As a team the Governors had three of the top five and five of the top ten as Madilyn Brakke was fifth with a 97 and Hadley Hart and Andrea Mosteller were tied at eighth with a 101.
