After spending the first 10 games of the season on the road, the Pierre Governors are finally back at home for a high school baseball game since 2019. The Governors will host the Brookings Bobcats.
Pierre is coming in off a doubleheader sweep of the Huron Tigers on Tuesday and now 8-2 on the season. Every pitcher will be available for the doubleheader against a team which was coming into the week in fourth place, right behind the Governors in the standings. However, last night, Brookings split with the Harrisburg Tigers winning the first game 4-0 and falling in the second game 3-2. Brookings held the Tigers to just two hits in the first game shutout win. The Bobcats are now at 12-2 on the season as tonight’s game becomes even more important for a top four seeding.
First pitch is scheduled for 5:00 from Hyde Stadium with the second game to follow. Coverage will begin at 4:40 on Today’s KCCR, todayskccr.com and on YouTube at KCCR Sports with Jon Winkler and Greg Dean on the call.
