He says good conservation practices can be helpful during drier times by helping keep moisture in the ground. Prairie Paradise Farms hosts a Family Farm Day in May where visitors can use hands-on educational stations on farm operation. The Neuharths have been rotationally grazing some nearly 3000 acres of grassland since 2010 and raise livestock including 100 dairy goats and 150 free-range laying hens. The Neuharths also won the 2021 Farmer/Rancher of the Year from the Pierre Area Chamber of Commerce.
