PIERRE — The Pierre City Commission is meeting tonight at the Pierre Municipal Building. Commissioners will consider approval of a seven-item consent calendar before moving on to three items of unfinished business. The Commission will consider awarding a bid for the wastewater treatment plant redesign project and an administrative services agreement with Burns and McDonnell for the project. A public hearing is set for 5:45 pm to take comment on proposed changes to the city’s fireworks ordinance as changes are under consideration. Commissioners will get an update on progress with the Missouri River Bridge construction and get an update on summer recreation fees and programs. The Commission will also make requests to bid two projects; the Airport Road and Highland Avenue Reconstruction projects. The Pierre City Commission meets in executive session tonight at 4:30 PM for economic development and will meet for the regular meeting at 5:30 PM.
