PIERRE — The Hughes County Commission is meeting tonight at the Hughes County Courthouse. Commissioners will consider approval of the agenda and minutes from the April 5th meeting before recognizing NACo High Performance Leadership Academy Graduates from Hughes County, Sarah Burger, Eric Booth and Tom Oliva. Three public hearings are on the agenda, two of which are for rezoning requests and one is for amendments to ordinances on permit fees. Commissioners will consider a request for maintenance on Olson Road, a weed spraying contract and will discuss a drainage study in the Grey Goose Development. Also on the agenda for consideration are tax deed properties, a Covid leave policy, approval of the claims and reports from the County Manager and liaisons. Executive sessions are on the agenda for to Consult with Counsel, Care of the Poor and HIPPA. The meeting begins at 5:30 pm.
