Pierre Governor Wrestler Hayden Shaffer and his pin to win the dual state championship is up for the Play of the Year as part of the USA Today High School Sports Awards.
Shaffer, in the third period, down in the match, was able to cradle his opponent and pick up a pin to win the match but even more importantly, and heroically, win the dual state championship for the Pierre Governors.
