Fire suppression nearby is a requirement of the proposed ordinance along with not using fireworks on public property or discharging fireworks within 50 yards of unmaintained open land, if the grassland fire danger exceeds the High Fire Danger level or a Red Flag Warning is issued by the National Weather Service. Second reading of the ordinance will be held on April 20th. A public hearing to get input from the public is set for 5:45 pm on April 20th.
