Pierre Teens Arrested For Assaulting Victims With Golf Clubs, Damaging Vehicle

PIERRE — Just days after three teens were arrested for aggravated assault and vandalism; two more teens are arrested on similar charges by Pierre police in the same part of town. Pierre Police Department Captain Bryan Walz says officers were called to the 2300 block of East Franklin Monday night to respond to a report of an assault in the area. Officers learned 18 year-olds Rayden Rodriquez and Justyce Murphy assaulted two individuals with golf clubs and damaged one of the victim’s vehicles by breaking out a taillight and windows. Both Rodriquez and Murphy were transported to the Hughes County Jail on charges of Aggravated Assault and Intentional Damage to Property. Murphy is additionally charged with underage tobacco possession. The conditions of the two individuals’ assaulted by Rodriquez and Murphy are not known.
