Teens Charged With Aggravated Assault For Shooting At Home, Bystanders With BB Gun

PIERRE — A group of teenagers found themselves in trouble early Sunday morning following an incident with a pellet gun. Pierre Police Captain Bryan Walz says officers were called to the 2300 block of East Franklin Avenue around 2:45 am after it was reported that someone shot at a residence. Officers discovered during their investigation that two females had been outside the home when a dark colored car approached. Shots were fired from the vehicle,  then it left the area. The homeowner found a broken window that appeared to have been shot with a b-b gun. Approximately 30 minutes later around 3:15 am, the homeowner called police noting the same vehicle drove past again. The car was located by police near the intersection of Sioux Avenue and Fort Street where police discovered a C-O-Two pistol, drugs and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle. Police arrested 18 year-old Daeton Boe of Pierre, a 17 year-old male from Fort Pierre and 16 year-old female from Pierre for Aggravated Assault, Vandalism and drug charges. Boe was taken to the Hughes County Jail on the charges while the 17 and 16 year-old were transported to the Hughes County Juvenile Detention Center.
