PIERRE — The Pierre City Commission is meeting tonight at the Pierre Municipal Building. Commissioners will consider approval of an eight item consent calendar filled with numerous seasonal and temporary new hires. New hires will fill open spots in the Golf, Parks, Electric, Street and Cemetery Departments. Two raffle requests are on the calendar, filed by Oahe Days and the T-F Riggs Clay Target Team and the Claims. Commissioners will consider awarding a bid for chip and fog oil and a request to purchase a concrete building for the Griffin Park bathroom project. The Commission will consider a 2021 budget transfer with the Parks Department, a request to bid the Airport Road reconstruction and a memorandum of understanding with the Pierre Area Chamber of Commerce. Commissioners will present any dialogue they may have at the end of the meeting. The Pierre City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 pm.
