Sioux Avenue To Be Reduced To Head To Head Travel For Two Weeks Near McDonald’s

PIERRE — Starting today, Sioux Avenue in front of the Pierre McDonald’s location, which is under construction, will be reduced to head to head traffic during utility work on the project. The lane reduction will extend from James Street to Poplar Avenue. Traffic will be limited to right turns only in the stretch to enter and exit businesses. Traffic entering the two-block zone should be alert for long single file lines of traffic and be ready to slow or stop in advance of traffic attempting to enter the work zone. Delays could extend up to five minutes. Project contractor MAC Construction of Rapid City expects the lanes to return to normal use in two weeks.
