The county will get two Purple Heart County signs to put on state highways leading into Hughes County along with two Combat Reserve parking signs and two Veteran Only parking signs to be used at county facilities. The City of Pierre has previously been declared a Purple Heart city by the Military Order of the Purple Heart.
