Area teams were scheduled to meet in Pierre on Tuesday for the Bob Judson Invitational as the likes of the Governors, Stanley County Buffaloes and Sully Buttes Chargers would have all been in town. Instead, the meet has been canceled.
Pierre Athletic Director, Brian Moser, says with the chance of rain and 20-30 MPH winds, they have decided to cancel the meet. There is no makeup date at this time.
This is the second time in as many meets that the Stanley County Buffaloes have not been able to begin its season after last week’s meet in Gregory was canceled. Sully Buttes will continue to look for its start to the season.
Lower Brule, Potter County and White River were also scheduled to be in Pierre. The Governors will now turn to Huron on Friday for the track’s next event.
