The Pierre Governor track and field team were right back in Aberdeen on Tuesday after starting the season last week in the same town. The Govs had a strong performance from both the boys and girls side.
A few new names took wins on the afternoon as in the girls events, Aleise Christipherson won the long jump with a distance of 4.86 meters, just 0.04 ahead of second place. Ryann Barry didn’t win the high jump event but she did finish in second place tying the height of 1.48 meters with Ciara Frank from Aberdeen Central. Jessica Lutmer again won the 800 meter run but this time by an inch as she had a time of 2:28:75 which was .01 faster than second place.
On the boys side, Lincoln Kienholz won both the high jump and long jump with a height of 1.83 and distance of 6.40 meters.
