PIERRE — A light agenda greets the Pierre City Commission tonight. Only three items and the consent calendar are on the agenda for the evening. Two of the agenda items are public hearings set for 5:45 pm. They included a public hearing on a temporary malt beverage license request and street closure request for Sioux Avenue from Washington to Jefferson Avenues. The second public hearing is for a temporary malt beverage license for Oahe Days and an Oahe Days Event Requests list. Prior to the public hearings, on consent calendar; Commissioners will consider approval of the minutes from the May 17th meeting, three new hires and a volunteer firefighter application, a request to add two F-T-E to the Airport to hire a full time airport firefighter and the claims. Commissioners will consider a property purchase agreement with Hughes County regarding the old city hall property. Commissioners will end the meeting by presenting any dialogue they may have. The Pierre City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 pm.
