Sully Buttes Takes on Lyman in Doubleheader

The Sully Buttes Chargers will have its first doubleheader of the season on Tuesday as they host the Lyman Raiders in Onida.

The Sully Buttes girls have opened the season at 2-0 with two sound victories over Ipswich and North Central. Lyman, just like the other two opponents are a young team with just one senior on this year’s squad. The Raiders fell to Potter County in its only game so far after having Stanley County’s game postponed last Friday. Lyman lost 46-43 to the Battlers.

Both the Charger and Raider boys team will open the season tonight in Onida after the postponement for Lyman on Friday. The Chargers bring back the Shall boys, Jesse and Jordan along with Dwight Kinney as the three seniors. Landon Hepker, Marshall Wittler and Thomas Farries return for their junior campaigns with quality time last year on the varsity squad. The Lyman Raiders have six seniors on a good veteran squad. It’s a tough early season test for the Chargers.
