The Spearfish Sasquatch opened up the bottom of the first with four runs as they cruised to a 10-2 over Pierre sweeping the mini two game set over the Trappers.
Spearfish scored on two separate errors and a bases loaded walk in the first inning to claim the lead they would not relinquish. Jakob Newman and Cole Yancey had the lone two RBIs in the game for Pierre as they picked up both in the top of ninth. Spearfish continues its hot start at now 6-1 on the season while the Trappers fall to 2-4 on the year.
Pierre will now have two days off before traveling to Sioux Falls on Friday for just one single game, then return to Hyde Stadium on Saturday on Sunday to finish its series against the Sunfish. First pitch on Friday is at 7:05.
