The Pierre Governor volleyball team will be at home for the final two games of the season as Pierre first hosts the Huron Tigers tonight in a rivalry matchup looking for its second win.
The Governors and Tigers already met, a couple of weeks ago as the Governors lost in three sets in Huron as Pierre is at 1-18 on the season. It’ll be the final two games of the season regardless of the outcomes of the final two games. Pierre will host Harrisburg on Thursday. It’s also senior night for the Governors as Ally Keyes, Claire Munson and Faith Baumberger will be honored prior to tonight’s game as the three lone seniors. Huron comes in skidding since beating the Governors. At 8-13, Huron has lost the last three with a reverse sweep against Aberdeen Central two Fridays ago, and then dropping a five set match last Tuesday to Tea after leading the Titans 2-1. The Tigers are in 13th place in the AA standings and want to climb in the final week to get a more favorable SoDak 16 matchup.
Coverage of senior night tonight begins around 6:00 with first serve at 6:30 on KCCR and on YouTube at KCCR Sports with Jon Winkler on the call.
