The Pierre Governors would fall to the Huron Tigers on Tuesday on the road as the Tigers picked up its second straight win at 25-21, 25-16 and 25-8.
Huron is now at 8-10 on the season while the Governors fall to 1-12 with the loss. It’s the fourth straight loss for the Governors in three of the last four games being on the road. Evie Doyle would have the team high 10 kills for the Govs in the loss as she hits double figures in three set loss as it’s been a little bit of a rarity to see a Governor in double digits in kills. Ally Keyes would have five kills for the Governors and Hannah Eads with four. Huron finished with 16 aces in the match while Ramsey Rozell led the Tigers with eight kills in the match. Huron is trying to keep pace in the standings looking to climb into the top eight.
Pierre continues the road stretch with a match against the Brookings Bobcats on Thursday. First serve is scheduled for 6:30 on KCCR and on YouTube at KCCR Sports with Jon Winkler on the call.
