PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Pierre City Commission is meeting tonight at the Pierre Municipal Building. The brief agenda carries only the four-item consent calendar and three listed agenda items. The consent calendar is make up of the weekly approval of minutes and claims and two raffle requests. The raffle requests are for the Central South Dakota Bras of a Cause event and the Hillsview Golf Course Junior program. Only new, business makes up the balance of the agenda. Commissioners will consider approval of a request to serve alcohol at the South Dakota Discovery Center for the annual Best for Last fundraiser on November 19th along with a request to purchase a new server for the Water Treatment Plant. The Commission will also give first reading to the 2027 utility rate ordinance. Commissioners will close out the meeting by presenting any dialogue items they may have. The Pierre City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 pm. The meeting is open to the community.
