The Pierre Governor volleyball team will look to make it two in a row as the Govs travel to take the Mitchell Kernels tonight in an ESD clash.
The Governors are now 1-8 after a four set win over the Douglas Patriots last Thursday, grabbing that elusive first win of the season. Pierre will want to use the momentum to try and knock off the Kernels who are coming in after a being swept by the Jefferson Cavaliers on Tuesday. Mitchell is at 4-8 on the season and in 12th place in the standings and the loss stopped a modest two game winning streak. This is the second of three straight on the road for the Govs with a total of five of six away from home for Pierre. The Governors are still trying to climb from the bottom of the standings in Class AA.
Coverage tonight begins around 6:00 with first serve scheduled for 6:30 on KCCR and on YouTube at KCCR Sports with Jon Winkler on the call.
