The Pierre Governor tennis team would wrap up the ESD tournament on Tuesday as the Governors would place seventh as a team and Adrian Hand would have the best finish placing second in flight three.
The Governors would see Hand reach the championship match as the two seed would fall in the match, but be the lone Governor to reach a championship match. Eliza Mayer, in flight two, would fall in both matches on Tuesday placing fourth for the Governors. Elise Bowers in flight one and Emma Barnett in flight six would reach the consolation championship, but could not capture the consolation title. Avery Schwartz in flight four and Ainsley Digles in flight five would be eliminated in the consolation semifinals.
In doubles flight two, Hand and Gemma Stangeland would go 2-0 on Tuesday to finish as the consolation champions. Both Bowers and Mayer in flight one and Schwartz and Dilges in flight three would be eliminated in the consolation semifinals.
Pierre would finish with a score of 72.5 points, 27.5 points behind Yankton for sixth place. Harrisburg would win the ESD title, overtaking Mitchell who had the day one lead. The Tigers posted a 359 while Mitchell had a 308.5. Harrisburg had five flight champions while Mitchell had three. Brandon Valley would get a singles flight six championship.
