PIERRE, (KCCR) — A Harrold man was killed Saturday in a two vehicle crash in Faulk County. According to a preliminary crash investigation by the South Dakota Highway Patrol a 2021 Ford Edge S-U-V was traveling south on South Dakota Highway 45. A 2022 Ford F-350 Super Duty pickup truck was traveling west at the same time on 155th Street. As the pickup entered the intersection with the highway the vehicles collided. The 70 year-old female driving the S-U=V was taken to Faulkton Area Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. The 70 year-old male passenger was killed. The driver of the pickup, a 16 year-old male from Faulkton sustained minor injuries. Both occupants of the S-U-V are from Harrold. Seat belt use by all involved is being investigated by the Highway Patrol The names of those involved are being withheld pending notification of family. The crash happened approximately five miles west of Cresbard, just after two-pm Saturday afternoon.
