The Pierre Governor volleyball team will be on the road tonight to take on the Douglas Patriots as the Govs will be looking for its first win of the season in Box Elder.
Pierre is at 0-8 on the season, but are facing the team just above them in the standings as the Patriots come in at 3-11 in 19th place. Douglas does not have a win against a AA team so far this season at 0-6 while being 3-5 against Class A, B and Wyoming teams. Pierre is coming off being swept last weekend by both Yankton and Jefferson and sit in last place in the standings. It’s the only game of the week for the Govs and the first of three straight on the road with a trip to Mitchell next week Thursday and then to Class A Lennox the following Tuesday. The Govs will want to start racking up wins to climb back in the standings in Class AA.
