The Stanley County Lady Buffaloes would go 2-2 on Saturday hosting the Big Dakota Conference Tournament as the Lady Buffs would finish in sixth place in the tournament.
Stanley County would start the day with its play-in game against the Winner Warriors. The Lady Buffs would fall in straight sets to its Region 6A foe with a 25-16 and 25-9 loss. The Warriors would go on to win the Big Dakota Conference tournament as the two seed. Stanley County, would go on to win two of the three matches in the consolation side of the tournament which started with a strong sweep over Crow Creek. The Lady Buffs would win 25-11 and 25-3 dominating the match. Stanley County would then fall in a three set match 25-17, 23-25 and 16-25 nearly defeating the Chamberlain Cubs. However, the Lady Buffs would come back and sweep Cheyenne-Eagle Butte in another dominating match winning 25-14 and 25-9. Chamberlain would finish at 3-0 while Stanley County was 2-1, Cheyenne-Eagle Butte 1-2 and Crow Creek at 0-3.
The day moves Stanley County to 4-10 on the season and will be hosting its Homecoming match on Tuesday. The Lady Buffs host the Herried/Selby Area Wolverines who come in at 3-8 on the year. First serve is scheduled for 7:45 at the Parkview Auditorium in Fort Pierre.
