(Onida, SD) – The Sully Buttes Chargers would fall in three straight sets on Thursday against Lyman: 25-3, 25-16, and 25-23. The Chargers drop to 0-12 and will host White River Monday.
Sully Buttes saw multiple aces in the first set that will spilled the opening sets where the Chargers couldn’t generate any offense. In a lob sided first the set, Sully Buttes would improve in the second set. While Lyman held the lead for the majority of the second set, the Chargers would keep it close from services errors and Lyman aggressiveness going against them.
The third set would see the most completive set. The Chargers offensive saw bright spots despite the 25-23 loss. Sully Buttes and Lyman would go back and forth, but after a Lyman tied it at 23-23, it was the Raiders who got the two points needed to take the set and the win 25-23. The Chargers finished with six kills in the match compared to 26 for Lyman.
