The Pierre Governor tennis team is heading to Aberdeen on Saturday as the Govs will play at the Elliot Extravaganza with just three weeks remaining in the year.
The Governors will play a couple of duals and have just a few duals remaining in the regular season with next week wrapping up the dual season and everything other than the ESD and state tournaments. It’s the final dual of the ESD season as the Govs take on Aberdeen Central on Saturday. Pierre is currently 2-5 in the ESD with wins over Yankton and Brookings and nearly beating Watertown and Huron. Aberdeen Central, on the other side, is 5-2 in duals having gotten wins over Watertown, Huron and Brandon Valley, who also beat the Governors. Pierre will host Spearfish and St. Thomas More on Tuesday and Thursday next week to close out the regular season.
The dual against Aberdeen Central is scheduled for a 10:00 AM start at Holgate Middle School in Aberdeen.
