For the first time this year, the Pierre Governor football team will be at home on a Friday night as the Aberdeen Central Golden Eagles come to town taking on the 2-0 Governors.
It’s a tale of two teams on opposite ends through the first two games. Pierre has scored 43 points per game and have won two games with the running clock while the Golden Eagles have lost both, averaging nine points per game and have had the running clock against them in both games. The Golden Eagles lost to Yankton in week one 48-11 while the Governors beat Yankton last Friday with a 44-14 victory. Pierre has had nearly 500 yards in both victories while Aberdeen Central has scored just two touchdowns in two games. However, the Govs are not taking the Golden Eagles lightly.
